In winter, Kandersteg is one of the most important Nordic skiing centres with its ski jumps and countless cross-country trails, whether high up in Sunnbühl or right through the middle of the picturesque mountain village of Kandersteg. There is plenty of space here. Small but nice -
the ski area
The ski area at the Oeschinensee offers ideal conditions for families in particular, as it is easy to moderately difficult to ski and clearly arranged, so that the little ones can also ski on their own. The day ski pass is available from CHF 35/adult. The facilities are also included in the Top4 ski subscription.
The hiker's paradise par excellence
Those who enjoy hiking will love the Kandersteg region. Whether with children or high alpine - there are countless hiking routes for every level. Here are just a few highlights:
Hohtürli (transition to the Kiental)
Gemmi Pass (passage to Valais)
Whether ice or rock - wonderful climbing routes
Where the SAC conducts its ice climbing courses, it must have particularly ideal conditions for this sport. But also in summer countless climbing and mountaineering routes inspire the climbers. And if it rains, there's an indoor climbing hall at Grossen Sport.
